AI & Trading Data Policy
Last updated: March 2026
How Charton handles trading-related data, backtesting data, market data, AI prompts, and account deletion requests.
Charton LLC provides technology tools for strategy research, historical testing, user-controlled automation, and AI-assisted workflows. This policy outlines how we handle trading-related data, backtesting data, market data, and AI interaction data.
1. Trading History & Backtesting Data
Your personal trading history, backtest results, and custom strategy logic are entirely private. We do not use your proprietary trading logic or P&L data to train our foundational models, nor do we share this specific data with other users.
2. AI Interactions (Prompts)
When you use our AI Assistant to generate strategies (e.g., “Build me a Mean Reversion bot using RSI”), the textual prompt may be processed by external LLM providers (such as OpenAI or Google). Where available under our provider contracts and enabled configurations, we use data processing terms designed to limit retention and prevent use of customer prompts for public model training. Provider terms, retention windows, and processing safeguards may vary by feature and provider.
3. Market Data Aggregation
We collect and normalize public market data (OHLCV candles, order books) across various centralized and decentralized exchanges. You may freely use this aggregated data for backtesting within our environment.
4. Data Export & Deletion
You retain ultimate ownership of your raw trading data generated within the platform. You may download your strategy logic or request full account deletion via your Workspace Settings at any time, which natively cascades and destroys your data in our database (excluding immutable blockchain records or exchange-side records).
If you have any questions about how your trading data is handled, please reach out via the Support page.
